We had so much fun capturing Loren & Jason’s wedding at Historic Cedarwood. There was not only love in the air but the celebrations ambience was a wonderful overwhelming feeling. The bridal party was willing to do anything & had a blast doing it too. It was a gorgeous spring day it was the perfect weather with flowers in bloom. Loren & Jason’s wedding was elegant & simple, it was a breath taking combination.

Stephanie was a dream to shoot, she was energetic, carefree & willing to do anything for a great photo! She was wearing a free flowing dress, which made it so easy for her to climb on anything & everything. We had the perfect setting old cars, abandon busses & a crashed plane. We are so excited to share these photos, because we had a great time on this session.

Cedarwood Style Show | Nashville Wedding Photographer | Part 1

Historic Cedarwood

We hold Cedarwood close to our hearts. We love the beautiful location, the amazing decor and especially the staff who are so talented and nice to work with.  So obviously we were honored to be part of Cedarwoods Style Show.  Since we love everything vintage, we always love their creative use of floral, accessories, and furniture.  Not only was the decor over the top, which is the norm for Cedarwood, but the food, music, cake and endless array of ideas made this the event to be at.  There was a steady stream of brides, grooms and family members all day.  Since it was the day after  tornado warnings and rain, the warm sunshine was great to see. The great smell of fresh flowers and delicious food filled the air and greated guest as they enjoyed a mind boggling display of wedding inspiration.  There was so many great photos we had to make more than one post, because we just had to share all the great ideas.

What girl doesn’t love pink.  ”The Pink Cottage”  inspired decor reminds me of an English garden with delicate old roses and antique milk glass. The strawberries add a whimsical touch, that would be great in spring and summer weddings.

Soft warm neutral colors have been so popular with our brides.  I can’t wait to see this modern rustic version set up for a nice warm afternoon wedding.  These soft colors will look great as the sun sets and the party begins.

The Pantone color of the year Tangerine is not going to be just a fall color, many brides are incorporating this color with pinks, greens & purple .  I think we will see if from spring all the way through late fall. The exquiste paper was created by Designs In Paper. The creative paper design was the icing on the cake!

The designs below were appropriately called denim and diamonds.  This is as comfortable as your favorite denim jeans with a great country twist of, crochet, buttons and just the right amount of sparkle.   This is perfect for the country setting of a barn, old truck, and country antebellum farm estate of Cedarwood.

So many bold colors were used in the flower arrangements, every table was its own masterpiece.  The cool blues and warm yellows just make you happy looking at this table set-up. Love the striped table cover that reminds me of grandma’s feather pillows and clean linen blowing in the breeze on clothes lines.  Nobody does flower like Karen and the staff at Cedarwood.

The flowers and cup cake display was one of my favorites.  Guest would just stop and stare at this.

We loved how each table told its own story for you, with delicate yet decidant decoration, vibrant pallets & personable touches.

Every little girl, I mean big girl loves a tea party.  Love the old china with the tulips and english garden roses.

The” Wine and Herbs”  was the so fresh and simple. I heard several brides comment on how much they liked it.

I love the clean but rustic decor ideas.  The striped couch and Love You Pillows are perfect for wedding day relaxing.

I love popcorn.  Enough said. So what is not to love about this popcorn bar.  It could be a take home favor or an after dinner snack for your guest. Either way they will love the couples thoughtfulness.

Milk & Cookies are the perfect late night snack, it is a great last impression.  They even had my favorite cookies on display!
