Legacy Farms Open House Part 2
Wow is all we have to say about Legacy Farms, Enchanted Florist and the amazing wedding professionals who made the Open House an over -the=top success. We wanted to post Part 2 first thing today, we just keep getting more excited by each setup.
We are starting this blog out with the 4th setup of the day, a great table setup up by Amy with Williamson County Wedding & Events & flower arrangements by Enchanted Florist.
What we enjoyed the most about this Open House is how they showed each client & local vendors how everyone can utilize each & every space.
The fifth setup has perfect timing for our upcoming fall brides. This fall table arrangement has all the decor you could want for a autumn wedding, from the apples, leaves, and mini pies to the mason jars. I call almost feel the brisk weather and great fall smells. After the super hot weather this summer I think everyone is ready for some great fall weddings. Check out all the amazing details!

Betsy and Johnnie are an amazing couple to watch. They act like they have known each other their whole lives, yet they are so spontaneous it feels like they just fell in love. So of course we had a great time at their wedding. Betsy said that other that marrying Johnnie, the most important thing to her was to get great photos. So of course we were super excited about their big day.
The dress was so elegant. It perfectly fit the beautiful surroundings of the The Baber House at Kennesaw Farms in Gallatin, Tn.
Betsy looked like a princess descending down the beautiful classic staircase.
The clock tower is one of the most interesting features of this location. Betsy and Johnnie stop for a kiss just moments after their ceremony.
Could this little ring bearer be any cuter. A nap during the ceremony? Why not it is a pillow after all.
Thank you for allowing us to record your love story. We know you two will be a happy couple.
Wedding Coordinator - Kara Chalenburg (sister-in-law) we don’t usually recommend family members as coordinators, but Kara should do this full-time, she was a pro.

Shannon and Jeff got married at one of our all time favorite locations, Historic Cedarwood on December 11, 2010.
Shannon’s shoes had “I Do” on the bottom and their initials and “I love Jeff” on the inside. What a great way to personalize the day.
Shannon is so cute and sweet and it is no wonder Jeff is madly in love with her.
We just loved the bouquet charms that noted her relationships with her mom and sister. Winter whites with the beautiful icy blue turqoise really brought the theme together
Karen Wright, floral designer extrodinaire, at Cedarwood always puts together bouquets “to die for”. We love how the feathers in Shannon’s hair was carried over to her bouquet.
Jeff is an avid Notre Dame fan and showed his Irish Pride with style. Guest were invited to sign his Football Jersey and enjoy the football groom’s cake. Jeff is so much fun. No one could be bored when he is around. Jeff also had to get their “his and hers” dogs in the wedding day since they are such an important part of their lives. Cedarwood is one of the few dog friendly locations.
The details are are what make a wedding personal. We loved the “Wish Tree” where guest left wishes, thoughts and lots of love for the bride and groom. A few of our reasons for loving Cedarwood is the decorations and the attention to everything, especially the details.
It was a cold rainy day, but that did not dampen the romantic spirit of the day
Jeff and Shannon are so in love. Their joy and smiles are contagious.
Thank heavens for the rain or we would not have had the opportunity to get these great umbrella shots. The mist made an almost dreamy feel to the photos. Congratulations to Shannon and Jeff. Thank you for having us record all the magic of your day.
Shoes are important. As girls we try on mom’s heels when we are toddlers. Stories like Cinderella confirm to us shoes are not only cool, they are an important part of adulthood, courtship and marriage. On our wedding day we will probably wear the most expensive dress we will ever wear, so of course accessories, like shoes, are important. They are also a great way to creative .
For 2010 we saw lots of great trends in shoes. This week the Ace list will show some of the most notable trends we saw during the year. The most obvious trend was the pop of color we saw peaking out from under the amazing white dresses. We saw almost every color shoe imaginable and we had so much fun documenting our brides and their great shoes.
Low heels, high heels, sandals, wedges, flip flops, and even boots (but that’s another blog) were popular this year.
Another trend we loved was the embellished shoes. Bows, ruffles, jewels, feathers and all manner of bling were a great way to add personality and style.
Many brides feel they love their shoes so much they can’t just wear them only one day. If you feel that way, choose a pair of shoes you can enjoy at various occasions for years to come. Every time you wear your amazing shoes you can remember all the love, romance and fun of your wedding day.
Another trend we noticed at the beach and at outdoor weddings were wedge shoes. The brides loved the comfort and their heels didn’t sink into the ground.
Wedding Shoe History 101- Catherine de Medici was one of the first brides in history (1547) to walk down the aisle in high heels.
Wedding Shoe History 201- Anglo-Saxon Brides tossed shoes (instead of the modern day bouquet) to bridesmaids who hoped to be the next to marry.
Wedding Shoe History 301- Today something blue, etc. is usually added to a garter or small accessory for good luck. Blue was the color of choice for bridal attire and shoes until Queen Victoria choose a white dress and shoes in 1840 which continues to inspire modern day brides. However the something blue was showing up in a lot of shoes this year.
Trends for 2011 continue from last year with a few more neutrals and metallics. Vintage style, lace and embossed patterns that we have been seeing in the dresses are showing up in the shoes. Pointy toes – closed and with peek-a-boo openings. Platform shoes return from the 70′s with a modern twist. If the groom is much taller than the bride this is a great equalizer.
One of my favorite shoes of the year were on the beautiful bride Tanielle and her equally gorgeous bridesmaids for her Canadian wedding. The great “Sex and the City” styles shoes were not only awesome, a pink icing shoe even topped the cake. How cool is that!
If you are getting married in the near future make sure you say yes to to a great pair of shoes.

Bring your shoes to the dress fitting to make sure the hem of the dress works with the shoes. If you are going to be sitting where yo feet can be seen such as during a Catholic, Greek Orthodox, or Egyptian ceremony you might want the dress to be a little longer.
Remember getting married is a marathon event. Make sure you love the comfort as well as the style. Heel height is important. If you don’t normally wear a higher heal, this may not be the day to start. Remember on your wedding day you will be on your feet all day. If you can wear your shoes during a bridal portait session or for several hours on day you will get a better idea how comfortable they are. If you love them and they are not comfortable make sure you bring a comfortable pair. This should be a happy day, don’t let shoes make it miserable. Pick a shoe that fits your personality, style, and wedding and you will be glad to paid attention to the details. Because details make the day.
