I love Christmas. I love everything about it. I love decorating, cooking, presents, trees, even wrapping presents until I never want to see tape again. I have 35 boxes of Christmas ornaments, décor, wreaths, paper, and Christmas village bigger than my house in my attic. I have three perfectly good full size very lifelike trees (even though I prefer a real tree). Yet this year I brought down one tabletop Charlie Brown-like tree and a few ornaments. Not the usual glitzy ornaments. Just basic ornaments. Somehow the over decorated, beautifully coordinated tree didn’t get up for the first time in my adult life. We were out of town most of December and busier than we have ever been so close to Christmas. The boxes of décor sit organized in the attic missing December for the first time. Thirty five boxes sounds like a lot, yet it used to be 47 boxes. I donated a lot of décor to the Salvation army last year. I had enough decorations for three houses. Now I only have enough for two houses. Yet most of our décor sits in the attic and our family enjoyed Christmas just as much with our Charlie Brown tree , a framed image of the nativity (I had to have that even if I didn’t have a tree) and few must have decorating pieces. Somehow Christmas simplified tis year was exactly what we needed in our overly busy, overly complicated lives. To stop for a day to remember our family, our God who loves us more than we can imagine and to really enjoy what is important in our lives is the best Christmas I can remember. I will probably go all out with decorating next year , but this year I want to enjoy some good food, Christmas music and family. Since the spirit of Christmas started with a little baby we wanted to share some of our favorite babies this Christmas. Nothing brings love to our hearts like children. Hope you enjoy some of our favorite little “Santa Babies” this Christmas Eve.
This little one has so much Christmas joy you can’t help but get in the spirit.
The latest Christmas hats are one of my favorite things this year about the holidays. This reindeer hat from Lizards and Lace is so cute on either boys or girls.
Cousins Emily and Talon can’t wait for Christmas.
Gavin loves twinkly lights.
We don’t get a lot of snow normally in Tennessee but we can finally get out the sweaters and boots for the holidays. How cute is Elias in a cuddly sweater.
All wrapped up in lights.
I have the lights, now where is the tree.
I know I saw some mistletoe somewhere.
All dressed up in my lady-like pose. I am ready for Christmas!
Yeah a pony for Christmas! Is this really a pony?
I don’t care what the tag says, I am not a Christmas present.
Betcha thought it was Santa didn’t you?
Who ever said “its as easy as taking candy from a baby” ,never actually took candy from a baby.
Joy to the world!
And to all a goodnight.
We hope all of our “Ace families” have the best Christmas ever.
Betsy and Johnnie will be getting married this coming Friday in Gallatin, Tennessee.
Betsy and Johnnie met at work. They share much more than just working together they are both passionate about their jobs and each other.
Johnnie proposed to Betsy over dinner at his home. Sometimes the sweet simple proposals are the most memorable. Any man that cooks is a definite keeper.
We love the impromptu dance at The Parthenon.
They are excited to be married and to share the same last name.
It looks like it is going to be great weather for their wedding this weekend. We can’t wait to see Betsy in her dress and see Johnnie’s face when he sees her for the first time.
Wow that forties pin up look!!
Ardena and Troy were so easy to work with. We enjoyed shooting their wedding soooo much! They were High School sweet hearts and never fell out of love. ( Makes me cry its so sweet!) They got married on their families property at a cabin their family had constructed. The place was awesome and provided a wonderful backdrop for their wedding. Ardena was absolutely gorgeous and took our breath away. The groom was very easy to photograph and was a very sweet guy. The kind of guy you hope for when you are looking for a mate.
Ardena sure looks elegant in her gown.
The beading was classic but not overdone.
They had a beautiful location at a family cabin.
There was definitely magic in the air.
Just one of many kisses they shared.

Look at the art work on the fence.
Just cutting up!
Just one great party!
Take me away?
Flowers in her hair….
Sexy legs!
Shes got the look.
Looking down on true love.
Its the same as their first valentines day, only they belong to each other for eternity now.
Congratulations Ardena and Troy!!!!
